Whether you're seeking the perfect playlist, craving variety in your routine, or aiming to maximize your XP this summer, these tips will get you ahead of the rest. Use them to enhance your workouts, making them more fun and effective.
Optimize With Music
For those who love running with music, try using the Spotify fade option. It overlaps two tracks by fading out the first while fading in the next, ensuring you maintain your pace without slow intros and outros.
Another great tip is to search for playlists that match your heart rate (BPM), such as a 150 BPM dance mix. Combining such a playlist with the fade option will make you unstoppable!
Explore New Routes
Variety is the spice of life, and this applies to exercising too. Explore new places for your runs. If you have a beautiful park within a ten-minute bike ride, cycle there for a warm-up before your run.
The same goes for cycling: a twenty-minute car ride can take you to a completely different area, opening up a world of new cycling routes for you.
Recording Strength Training
Pay attention to how you log your strength workouts. For activities like CrossFit, rowing, or HIIT training, you earn more points (1,5 XP/min) compared to a regular gym session (1,2 XP/min) due to the higher intensity. So ensure that the correct activity is selected on Strava.
If your sports watch doesn’t allow you to record your favorite activity, look for a similar activity that is rated the same way. And remember, an activity must earn 20 XP or more to be counted, which means at least 14 minutes of HIIT or 17 minutes of regular strength training.
Good luck! You have until July 10th to join one (or more) fun and engaging Summer Challenges. Take advantage of this opportunity to get stronger!
